Accuracy and Disclaimer

Use the results, but check them

PayTimeCard is built to be accurate and is tested against known reference values. It is still software written by people, running in a browser we do not control, on input we cannot see. Treat every result as a well-informed starting point rather than an authority.

Before you rely on a result for anything that matters — money owed to someone, a legal or tax position, a medical decision, a machined part, a navigational fix — check it against a second source.

Specific limits of this site

Overtime rules are simplified to the thresholds that apply to most hourly employees. Alternative workweek schedules, collective bargaining agreements, exempt classifications, and industry-specific rules all change the answer and are not modelled here.

Only a handful of states have daily overtime rules, and the ones offered here are the clearest cases. If your state is not listed, that does not prove it has no rule — check your own state labour department.

Gross pay is exactly that: gross. No tax, benefit or other withholding is applied, so the figure is not what will appear on a payslip.

Rounding punches is permitted under federal rules only where it does not systematically favour the employer. The rounding here is symmetric, but whether your policy is lawful is a question about the policy, not about this arithmetic.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is payroll, tax, employment-law or other professional advice, and using the time card calculator does not create a professional relationship of any kind. If a decision has real consequences, ask somebody qualified and accountable.

Liability

Our liability for the results this site produces is limited as described in the Terms of Service. In short: the site is free, it is provided as-is, and we cannot accept responsibility for losses caused by relying on it without checking.
